MILFORD — Shop Rite (Montague, N.J.) and Price Shopper (Matamoras) are helping the community, allowing a new pet food pantry to put donation boxes in their store entrances and exits. The new non-profit Pet Food Pantry will benefit residents of Pike County, specifically: Milford, Matamoras and Port Jervis residents that have fallen out of luck and are in need of help with feeding their pets. The PFP opened on March 15 in the temporary space that was donated by the owner at 211 Broad Street - the same Building as Seventh Street Coffee. Anyone who is unable to feed pets because of economic distress is able to pick up food here for two weeks at a time for their pet, as long as supplies are available. The PFP is designed to help those people who are temporarily in distress. The new PFP needs volunteers and donations and if you would like to know more please go to http:/myLife-myWill.org and click on the Pet Food Pantry.
