Surgeon named to Saint Clare's staff
SUSSEX, N.J. Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex has named a promiennt surgeon to its medical staff, according to Stephen Bocskocsky, vice-present and chief administrtaive officer of the Sussex facility. Jordan M. Garrison, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.S., a general surgeon and specialist in bariatrics, is now practicing at the Sussex area facility. Dr. Garrison completed extensive training in bariatrics at the University of New England Float Memorial Hospital in Boston and at the Inamed Training Facility in Atlanta and the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons in Las Vegas. He has performed some 300 bariatric procedures. He received his medical training from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where he received his medical degree in 1983 and completed his residency in 1989. He earned an undergraduate degree from Lehigh University. He is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the National Medical Association, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Garrison has been recognized for excellence by the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Surgeons’ Young Surgeon Delegate and the New Jersey Medical School Golden Apple Teaching Award Program.
