Sussex hosts annual dog show

    AUGUSTA nThe Ramapo and Palisades Kennel clubs are hosting their 44th All-Breed Dog Show and Obedience Trial on Saturday n Monday , October 15th n 17th, 2005. The show will be held at Sussex County Fair Grounds, Branchville, New Jersey. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 am and continue until approximately 4:00 pm. Admission is $2.00 for parking. The show is held indoors and outdoors, rain or shine, with extensive tenting provided. More that 1,800 dogs in approximately 147 breeds are expected at the event. Dog shows provide spectators with a unique opportunity to see and learn more about their favorite breeds. Canine athletes will be competing in conformation and obedience events. The show committee will have a community service table staffed with club members to answer questions, distribute literature, and provide information on responsible dog ownership. In addition, numerous vendors are available on the grounds with a variety of products and services including refreshments, dog food samples, canine supplies, training equipment, canine art and animal portraits. The Ramapo Kennel Club is an all-breed non-profit club affiliated with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the New Jersey Dog Federation of Dog Clubs. The club holds meetings on the second Wednesday of each month in Fairfield, New Jersey.
