Take a chance for the humane society

WESTFALL This year’s Pike County Humane Society Tricky Tray is being held on Saturday Sept. 15, with doors opening at 2 p.m. and the calling for prizes starting at 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Delaware Valley Middle School complex on routes 6 and 209 between Westfall and Milford. Get there in time to be able to take your chances on the items you want to win. The PCHS is celebrating a decade of Tricky Tray fundraisers. Over the past ten years they have raffled off thousands of great prizes and given away thousands of dollars in cash at their biggest fundraiser of the year. Those of you who have been to their Tricky Trays in the past already know about the great prizes all the local businesses and families donate to their efforts to help all the homeless animals in Pike County. Prizes last year included a TV, electric scooter, DVD player, barbecue grill and many other great items. This year, they have already received many donations from individuals and from local businesses, including estate jewelry, a Sony digital camera and printer, a TV, many gift certificates for local shops and more. They have over 100 trays valued at $50 each from all over Pike County and surrounding areas. They will also draw a cash raffle for three lucky winners. Last year’s grand prize winner received over $1,400. They will also have hotdogs, brownies, sodas and all kinds of refreshments too. It will be a fun day for the whole family.
