MILFORD - The Pike County Chamber of Commerce, Pike County Industrial Development Corporation and the Industrial and Commercial Development Authority celebrated the grand opening of their new offices on April 27. The three groups have been working in partnership for more than a year promoting Pike as a place to do business, work, live and raise a family. Now they are now housed together. The Chamber’s office was formerly located in the historic Callahan building and the Industrial Development office was formerly located in the Milford Professional Park. Both offices relocated to 209 East Harford Street in Milford. The co-location project served as the catalyst for the complete restoration of this historic building in downtown Milford. The new offices have a large meeting room to accommodate meetings of the committees and boards of the partners and the new location offers an increased accessibility to walk in visitors. “This location is much more central to county offices and other organizations and businesses we deal with on a regular basis,” said Amy Gruzesky, Executive Director of the partnership. “Having all three entities located under one roof has helped increase our efficiency and communication, as well as synergy.” The groups celebrated with a reception in the office immediately following a ribbon cutting. The Pike County Builders Association also relocated with the Chamber to the new building and participated in the festivities celebrating the grand opening.
