Time to honor volunteers

| 29 Sep 2011 | 08:10

MILFORD - Pike United Way is preparing to honor the county’s volunteers during our third annual observance of National Volunteer Week, April 23-29. Pike County ’s human service organizations are able to provide services to our neighbors because of the efforts of volunteers. United Way is taking the lead in recognizing and celebrating their dedication, but we need your help to do it. Pike County volunteers who have offered their service for one or more days in the past year are eligible to be included in their publicly displayed Volunteer Week Honor Roll. They ask that all agencies, businesses and organizations salute their volunteers by providing United Way with a list of names for this Honor Roll. In addition volunteers will receive special handmade volunteer recognition ribbons/ Please contact TerriAnne Caraluzzo at Pike United Way as soon as you can with your information at 570-296-9980 or toll-free 1-888-306-6963,or email her at uwpc@ptd.net.
