Township demands confirmation of reclamation cost estimates
MILFORD The township supervisors don’t believe a quarry/soil borrow area at the Milford Highlands home development can be reclaimed for the $96,000 that the developer would bond for the completion of the work. On Monday they called for a reclamation plan and estimate from a qualified contractor before any reduction of the existing $339,000 bond to $96,000. The project’s original bond was $1.3 million. Developer Christopher Decker of Milford Arcadia, LLP was seeking the bond reduction. He said the developers had planned to do the work themselves. “I will not be persuaded until I see a price from a reputable contractor,” Supervisor Don Quick replied. Decker said he would provide a plan. The supervisors also okayed Milford Motors’ request for special parking and traffic control arrangements for their “Monster Truck Car Crush” program during Oct. 19-20.
