Dingman — State police say a slushy roadway may have contributed to a three-car Dec. 9 accident on U.S. Route 6 that killed two men. Police said Richard Moore, 63, of Milford, driving westbound near Eureka Stone Quarry at 6:50 p.m. spun out into oncoming traffic and was struck by an oncoming car, which was then struck by a following car. Moore and his passenger Eric P. Hosking, 25 of Slate Hill, N.Y., were pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Kevin Stroyan. Mary A. Nilsen, 58, of Hawley, a passenger in the first eastbound car, suffered unknown injuries and was transported to Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y.
