UPDATE: Armed robbery at Burger King

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — On Monday night at about 10:25 p.m., Port Jervis Police received a report of an armed Robbery in progress at the Burger King Restaurant on McArthur Circle. Police found that the robber had entered the restaurant through a rear door which faces the former Great American Building and was armed with a small, pocket-type knife . The man, described as a Black Male, approximately 6’1”, and 220 pounds, demanded money and fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash. A Burger King employee who was slightly injured during the incident, was treated at Bon Secours Hospital and released. The robber was said to have had short hair and was wearing a mask and an oversized white t-shirt. The Port Jervis Police K-9 unit assisted officers at the scene and police detectives were able to recover some physical evidence.
