BUSHKILL-Superintendent John J. Donahue announced Thursday that two National Park Service employees found human remains in the Delaware River this afternoon. The employees were conducting a boat patrol and came across the remains on the New Jersey side of the river, about one mile south of Sambo Island, within Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The National Park Service contacted the Warren County Medical Examiner and the New Jersey State Police. The Medical Examiner received the remains and is conducting an examination to determine the individual’s identity. Updated information will be provided when it becomes available.
