PIKE COUNTY — Winter arrived early this year as Pike County has already had the first snow storm, so it is wonderful news that the United Way is once again teaming with Wachovia’s Valerie Seitz and Bushkill Outreach’s Kate Newman for the Sixth Annual Winter Coat Drive. Winter coats and clothes are going to be collected through Nov. 14. These items will be taken to The Bushkill Outreach center after that date to be distributed to Pike County residents who need them. “We do this coat drive every year because it is something that really helps members of our community. Particularly with the current economic climate, this is a good way to help those who can’t afford to buy for themselves. I love doing the coat drive and knowing that it really can make a difference in someone’s life,” stated Valerie Seitz, Financial Specialist at Wachovia. Coats can be dropped off at any of these five Wachovia branches: Milford, Dingmans Ferry, Greater Lake Region, Matamoras, and Lords Valley. If you have any questions contact Valerie Seitz at (570)296-5616.
