Update/Correction: Library review is not postponed
Milford Despite reports to the contrary in various media, no decision has been made to postpone the Milford Borough Architectural Review Board decision on the Pike County Public Library’s plans for a new central library. Borough President Matt Osterberg said that while the library board has sought a postponement, no decision on that request can made until the review board again gathers to vote in a formal meeting. The board meets next at 7 p.m. on Dec. 22. Since the historic district ordinance provides for automatic approval of an application upon the board’s failure to make a decision within 30 days, any postponement must be formally agreed upon by both the applicant and the board. A brief announcement appearing in the Dec. 19 edition was based on incorrect information provided in a Dec. 17 press release from the library.
