Milford Borough is moving to stabilize damage done when vandals last month pulled down and stole a portion of retaining walls on the lower end of East Catharine Street. The Borough Council Monday endorsed an engineering review which called for installing a series of concrete blocks to a height of four feet along the face of the break and backfilling the void with crushed stone. Borough President Matt Osterberg said engineers were not comfortable about delaying repairs until spring, “ and we certainly don’t want to leave it.” No cost estimate was available, but Councilman Bo Fean, chair of the borough street department said the job is not a big one, “but it will shrink the road width some.”
