DINGMAN — The township has been having problems with some of its contract work lately. Midlantic Marking of New Market, Md. recently re-striped township roads. On Fisher Lane near township offices they had a considerable overspray which the township is requiring them to fix. Midlantic Marking is waiting for a special machine to clean up the problem. Over half the contracting companies that submitted repair bids for the Christian Hill Road culverts failed to submit all the paperwork and were disqualified. The low bidder was Wayco Construction of Waymart, which was awarded the contract. The bid price was $71,800.30. The next lowest bidder submitted a price of $86,815.00. “We need them to submit in writing that all materials necessary are included in their price,” Township Solicitor John Klemeyer said Tuesday.
