Williford & Scott running for Pike County Auditors
Milford - Loretta Y. Williford and John P. Scott have announced their candidacy for the position of Pike County Auditor in the upcoming Republican Primary on May 15. Williford and Scott vow to bring “experience and fiscal constraint to the part-time position.” “By forgoing the health benefits and working part time as required by law we will save the taxpayers some $250,000 to $300,000 over the four-year term,” said Scott. Williford studied Accounting and Business administration at Harbor Junior College, San Pedro, California and will bring over 20 years of bookkeeping and auditing experience from the business world to the auditor position. Williford resides in Dingman Township with her husband Olin and two children, Olivia and Olin III. Scott, a former New Jersey State Senator, moved to Dingman Township in August of 2001 with his wife Betty. Formerly of Bergen County, N.J. Scott served in the New Jersey Senate and earned the reputation as the “most conservative” of his colleagues. Scott, a graduate of Montclair State University will bring experience in Trucking, Real Estate and Insurance to the position. Scott is the founder of the Dingman Township Republican Club and also a member of the Pike County Republican Committee. Scott has worked as a Campaign Consultant for the campaigns of Pat Toomey, David Madeira, Common Pleas Court Judge Joseph Kameen and Municipal Court Judge Debbie Fisher.
