Wilson won the race

WESTFALL - Corey Wilson was a winner in the recent 10K “Race for the Cure” road race. The race was 6.2 miles long and went from Shop-Rite in Montague, N.J. to Airport Park in Matamoras. “It was a very long journey to travel. It took me one hour and 28 minutes to complete. I didn’t do it alone, though. I had my friend, Mary Catherine, and Sarah Casey, a third grade teacher in my Delaware Valley Elementary School,” Corey explained. Corey is in the sixth grade at Delaware Valley Elementary School, in Brigid Gray’s class. She won third place in the Women’s 12-and-Under category. “I am very proud of my medal and of my participation in this race,” she said. Race co-sponsored included the Tri-State Chamber of Commerce, the Boys Scouts and the Girl Scouts.
