Woodloch names Michelle A. Adams-Tuttle

    HAWLEY -Michelle A. Adams-Tuttle has joined The Lodge at Woodloch, which debuted in June 2006 as the first new destination spa in the U.S. in over a decade, as spa director. Adams-Tuttle has worked in the wellness and fitness industry for nearly 20 years, bringing a breadth of experience to the position, particularly in the management of highly acclaimed wellness facilities. “I am excited for the opportunity to work under the direction of owners and operators John and Ginny Lopis of JGL, Inc.,” explains Adams-Tuttle. “Their philosophy of personal awakening is one I support wholeheartedly, and by incorporating this principle into everything we do, our guests continue to benefit from the experience long after they depart.” Prior to joining the Lodge at Woodloch, Adams-Tuttle served as the spa director for the Cornelia Day Resort, acclaimed as New York City’s only day resort. As part of the opening team she oversaw the creation and operation of all Cornelia’s salon treatments, aesthetic and spa treatments. She has also acted as fitness and movement therapy director for the Canyon Ranch Health Resort & Spa in Lenox, Massachusetts where she promoted Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires to #1 Spa in North America. Earlier, Adams-Tuttle was the proprietor of Fitness-4-You, a health and fitness consulting and training business in Albany, New York, and wellness director for the Owens Corning Plant branch of Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems in Albany, New York. Adams-Tuttle is a master certification specialist with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, certified in Pilates, spinning, STEP Reebok, weight room and kickboxing. She has also been tapped by a number of exercise venues in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and California to lend her expertise in training instructors to teach according to industry standards, as well as designing and teaching group exercise classes. Originally from Schenectady, New York, Adams-Tuttle currently resides in Hawley, Pa. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health & Fitness Management from Empire State College in New York.
