Woodloch shows a leadership role

Lackawaxen Woodloch Resort is a four season resort, which has been voted the Number #1 “Best Place to Work in PA” and is also one of the top 10 Green Businesses in the Poconos. It should come as no surprise that an organization which demonstrates such care of employees and the environment would also extend its care to the community in which it lives. Recently, Woodloch gave a $5,000 to the United Way of Pike County. Bob Kiesendahl, son of the owner, John Kiesendahl, is also a member of the United Way board. Bob has said, “I’ve always believed that Woodloch’s success is because we care not only for our immediate Woodloch community but the extended community as well. Helping the United Way financially is the best way I know to support our neighbors who are in distress at this time. I’m pleased that the Woodloch Family can continue this tradition.” Christine Obser, United Way President, says, “We are grateful, always, for the support Woodloch has given the United Way.” The United Way of Pike County 2008-09 campaign is currently at 40% of its goal. Barbara Tarquinio, Campaign Chairman for United Way, adds, “Many thanks to Bob Kiesendahl and family for their generous donation to United Way of Pike County, especially in this difficult economic environment. It truly speaks to their concern and dedication to making a difference for our community.” For more information about Woodloch, visit its Web site www.woodloch.com or call 1-570-685-8000.
