About the library
To the editor: I am still unable to decide whether the architects, who submitted the proposal for the new Milford Library of which you published an artist’s rendition, should be asked to explain what exactly it is that they feel to be of “historic”about the proposed building (apart from its future contents), or whether the Library Board, by endorsing the proposed “carbuncle”, exercised exceedingly poor judgment. I share the sentiments expressed by Greg Yetter (in your 16-Mar-2007 edition) whole-heartedly, and would merely like to add that I applauded the Milford Architectural Review Board for its stand on the proposed Rite-Aid development, and therefore hope that similar good sense will prevail when it comes to looking at the new library proposal. Hopefully, the Library Board members had just a bad day, and will regain some sense of historic values. Jurgen W Schulze Milford
