About the vote count

To the editor, Exit polling was conducted at the Dingman Township number two poll. In spite of the rain in the morning, the cold and wind, the lack of light for a while , and my early exit, twenty six percent of the voters took the time to fill out our ballot. We thank all of you. Because of the many contests on the ballot we limited our poll to four races, they were the commissioner, treasurer, township supervisor, and school board. The results in the treasurer and the school board races all were within two percentage points when compared to our poll. Some of the results were almost exact matches. The results in the commissioner and township supervisor races, however, were quite different. Offical Results Commissioner 1229 votes cast Wagner 23% Hernandez 22% Forbes 28% Caridi 27% Exit Poll Results Commissioner 319 votes cast Wagner 30% Hernandez 26% Forbes 23% Caridi 20% Offical Results Township Supervisor 605 votes cast Tashlik 40% Welsh 60% Exit Poll Results Township Supervisor 161 votes cast Tashlik 51% Welsh 49% I will leave it up to your readers and the statisticians to draw their own conclusions. A national clean elections lawsuit has now been filed in all fifty states. The lawsuit argument is that computerized voting machines are unconstitutional. They are ripe for fraud and error and effectively hide the physical vote counting process from the public denying citizens their legally protected right to cast an effective vote.
