An open letter to the code enforcement officer July 7, 2009
Mr. (Chris) Wood, This is a follow up on the letter I sent you just a few weeks ago concerning the problems related to the trash at Lake Adventure Association on Route 739 in Dingmans Township. Once again they have been able to circumvent your authority by erected woven fences and not removing the trash. There are three dumpsters there now. All of which are overflowing with food and other trash. No pickup has been made since before July 1. As you might imagine, the July 4 weekend, one of the highest use weekends of the year, brought huge amounts of trash but no trash pickup. As this creates not only a health problem with the stench from the unsightly array of garbage bags, there is a safety problem as the predators such as black bears and their multiple cubs are attracted to and roaming through Lake Adventure and neighboring communities. Hopefully, you can be more effective this time in enforcing the ordinances and laws. Previous enforcement activity has encouraged additional activities by this and probably other communities to the area. John Reed Lake Adventure
