Changes can be a problem

Obama wants change. Change from what? Change from our national pride in the fact that all people can come here, work hard, save and live the life we have worked hard to develop? Change from our freedoms of speech, press, right to bear arms, etc.? Change from our chosen religions? Change in our commitment to safety for all people? Change from knowing that our object is peace but it comes with a stiff price? Change in our effort to enhance the job market with tax incentives to boost small and large businesses that employ? Obama cites a change of “Sharing the Wealth”. Whose wealth? All of those who worked hard to save and have the money to purchase a home; all of us who have the priority to pay our bills each month; all of us who value strong family ties and work hard to lead our children in a productive and hard-working manner; all of us who pay our taxes and exhibit a true pride in our country? He talks of giving a lot of people money from the government but where is the money going to come from? You guessed it! Out of everyone’s pockets. Those of us who have worked and saved will be the ones who pay!! Just like a good magic trick he who gives will take it away. John McCain is worthy of our vote because he knows and understands politics. He knows that the Democratic controlled legislature should have, but did not, make changes. He knows that one person cannot make change occur in isolation of others. He had worked across the aisle to make things happen and he will continue doing that when he is President. We owe our military deep gratitude. Let’s begin with a vote for John McCain. Sonya K. Cole East Stroudsburg
