Do your homework

To the editor: In regard to the “Fields contain burial sites” article in the January 26, 2007 edition of the Pike County Courier: The school board and it’s engineers should have done their homework first. How did they (specifically the engineering firm) miss what seems to be general knowledge for the past 50 years that the property has archaeologic significance at least 4,000 years old. Especially in an area that abounds with historical sites. Personally, I hope the Native American representative tell them to leave their burial grounds alone. Gary Golden Milford
