In response to Ms. Gassman
Ms. Gassman, I read your letter last week and I would like to thank you for all you have done for this community and your years of service. You and, Ms. Homer have reputations of being kind, gracious, community minded ladies. You both have spent countless hours volunteering for this community. This town owes both of you a gigantic thank you. Matamoras used to be just a town I passed through while going on vacation. Then one day I noticed what a cute little town with children playing on every block, adults walking, riding bikes, having little conferences in front of the post office. You have a lovely park, and a beautiful river that is so easily accessible. Towns like that are becoming extinct in today’s age. The two of you, as well as other fellow residents, have done a wonderful job and you should be proud. I hope you will continue to be a kind, gracious community activist and stay focused on the positive. Christina Robin Westfall
