In response to Ms. Sklar
In keeping with “fair and balanced” a response is required to Ms. Sklar’s anti-McCain diatribe in your Oct. 10 Letters to the Editor. Ms.Sklar wonders why she sees so many McCain signs all around Milford. I have some suggestions: 1. Could it be that voters make an association between Democrats controlling Congress and pushing for low/no interest, no money down, no collateral housing loans and the economy crashing around our heads? 2. Could it be that voters see themselves paying extremely high fuel costs while Democrats keep telling us they refuse to allow domestic oil drilling? 3. Could it be that voters hear unique Democrat solutions such as raising taxes on working families in times of crisis? 4. Could it be that voters don’t want to take the chance of Democrat -run health care cosidering how the congressional Democrats ran the Banking system? 5. Could it be that voters are afraid to risk electing an inexperienced, slogan-throwing, “community organizer” into the most powerful position in the world? Perhaps Ms. Sklar’s wonderment at all the McCain/Palin signs is just a matter of her contempt for the intelligence of Pennsylvania voters. Jim Furno Milford
