Inaccurate inquirer

To the editor: In the March 2 issue of the (Inquiring Photographer) section a Mr. Ed Dowd”s reply to the inquiry is completely inaccurate. Assuming he is quoted correctly, I think it casts serious doubt upon the veracity of his claim that he lives in Japan. First, Okinawa is south of the Main Islands, not north, (it does not snow in Okinawa) and second, there is a great deal of snowfall in Japan, particularly on the Sea of Japan side of the Japanese Islands. I know this is not a major issue, but such sloppiness as publishing statements of this nature without checking their accuracy and truthfulness leads one to be skeptical about the accuracy of other content that is being offered in the Courier.
