For all owners in the Lake Adventure Community, Lake Adventure is a home away from home and a vacation destination. Lake Adventure property owners do pay county real estate taxes, township real estate taxes and school taxes. Lake Adventure property owners have paid these real estate taxes since inception; which is definitely an economic benefit to the local region, considering that Lake Adventure has nearly 1,600 active property owners. Lake Adventure is not a fulltime community, but a family campground. Lake Adventure property owners neither vote in any local elections nor do their children attend any local schools. In addition, Lake Adventure property owners cannot build a home on their lands, but must use and enjoy the facility with varies types of recreation vehicles. Accordingly, the Lake Adventure tax base is based on the transient camping nature of the community. Recently, the Lake Adventure Community Association has been presented to the public as a blithe on the local community and a non law abiding participant; this is not an accurate presentation of the Lake Adventure Community and the property owners. Lake Adventure has always been a law abiding good neighbor with all intentions of remaining the same. Arthur Berkey, president, for Lake Adventure Board of Directors Milford
