Halloween crowds beat out Veterans Day

To the Editor:
I find it shameful that on Halloween the borough is flooded with hundreds of families who are here to collect candy...and on Veterans Day the service for veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice is attended by a very small handful of people, most of whom seem to be veterans.
Yes, I am a veteran, and proudly fly the POW/MIA flag at my home.
