How do you feel about your representation in Congress?

To the Editor:
How do you feel about your representation in Congress? Are you sick of partisan bickering and gridlock in Washington DC? If you, like me, and the vast majority of citizens, want to see this situation change, there is some good news.
You probably won't see this covered by most news sources. It isn't sexy, it may be a bit arcane, but it will revolutionize the way we elect our representatives. It is called the Fair Representation Act, H.R. 3057, and it was introduced to Congress with little fanfare on Monday, June 26. The bill has four core components: it establishes ranked choice voting for primaries and general elections, it establishes multi-winner congressional districts in states with more than one representative, it mandates independent citizen commissions for congressional redistricting, it establishes fair representation voting rule instead of winner-take-all voting rule. What does that mean? In the simplest of terms, it means better representation in congress for all of us, not just special interests.
Find out more about the act at www.fairvote.org, and read the full text of the bill at www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/3057.
Learn about it, make your decision, and support the bill by letting all your friends know about it. Write, call, visit your congressional representative, and urge them to support H.R. 3057.
