Letter to the Editor: Constituent concerns
Raise your hand if:
You called Congressman Bresnahan’s office to voice your opinions on the Iran war and were connected to the Congressman himself rather than a low-level aide.
The Congressman ever asked you if you favored waging war on Iran, a country that posed no imminent threat to us.
He was asked by the President to authorize the war as required by the Constitution.
You approve of the government spending a billion dollars a day on an illegal war while people struggle to meet expenses here in Pike and adjacent counties.
You don’t mind seeing local servicemen and women killed in an undeclared war.
You like paying four dollars a gallon for gasoline in Milford or Scranton to finance this war.
You’re seeing lower prices locally for food and gasoline as Donald Trump promised.
Strange. I didn’t see any hands go up.
I wonder why.
