To the Editor:
During the summer, I wrote publicly several reasons why Donald Trump would never be President of the United States. My reasoning was based on the outcome of an expected election — you know, the kind of thing where the person who gets the most votes wins.
But here in those very United States of America, where, as Mark Twain said in "Life On the Mississippi," even God has been made into a useful "swindle," we have figured out other ways of dealing with such inconveniences.
