Marino shuts out constituents pleading for health care

To the Editor:
Eight adults and two small children visited Rep. Tom Marino's Hamlin office May 4 to speak with staff about our personal health care stories and voice our opposition to the American Health Care Act (AHC), which Rep. Marino was voting "yes" on that very hour. We do not have video today because the staffer, Tom Cahill, slammed the door in our faces before we could film.
Several months ago, Marino's staff assured constituents that he would vote to protect people with pre-existing conditions. Today, he broke that promise. His staff member would not even allow constituents to enter the office to sign the guest book. He stood in the doorway listening to constituents, some in tears, detail their health-care related anxieties and struggles.
Our congressman in PA's D-10 has sold out his constituents, whom staff do not even allow in to the office their tax dollars pay for — including, today, a four-year-old child with Type I Diabetes, pictured with all of us (see photo).
