Nominate, nominate, nominate! Deadline reminder for geotourism project

| 19 Jan 2016 | 04:24

To the Editor:
Thank you for attending the November 2015 meeting for our area's exciting geotourism project, "Scenic, Wild Delaware River," and hearing all about how to nominate places, businesses, historic sites, cultural activities, events, and so much more. Representatives from National Parks Conservation Association and National Geographic shared information about this exciting opportunity for the communities located in and around the Upper Delaware National Park and Middle Delaware National Park in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Thank you to all of you who have nominated to date! The first deadline was Jan. 16 to nominate on the site. The second deadline is Jan. 31 to nominate and be considered for inclusion in the May 2016 initial launch of our geotourism project on the website, mapguide and collateral materials.

But, don't worry, nominations will be considered on an ongoing basis throughout the life of the project.

Some of you have nominations in the "Inactive" status, which means you started the nominations, but need to complete it and submit it to NatGeo for consideration. Please make sure you check your nominations. For those of you that wish to create nominations, follow the link below, create a login, password and begin nominating.

Please contact the Tri-State Chamber if we may assist you in the nominations or help with questions about the project. We are more than happy to help you.
