To the Editor:

Milford Presents would like to take this opportunity the thank all of our friends and neighbors for participating in the 12th annual Share the Harvest Dinner on Tuesday, Sept. 17. St Patrick’s Hall was beautifully decorated by Kasia Lojewska from Behind the French Doors and Laura Staine from Willow, and Nancy Potter and her volunteers from the Ecumenical Food Pantry were on hand to welcome and serve.

Thanks to the generosity of the 100 people who bought tickets and came together. Milford Presents was able to present a van full of pantry supplies, including essential non-perishable food items, baby foods and formula, toiletry goods, and pet foods. We also made a cash donation of $4,000 to our neighbors in need. In the spirit of giving, we encourage anyone who was unable to participate to make a direct donation to the “Ecumenical Food Pantry” -- donations may be dropped off at any time and checks may be mailed to the organization at 321 5th St, Milford PA 18337, and to keep this cause close to your heart throughout the year.

A special shout-out to our eateries that provided a great dining experience: Hotel Fauchere, Waterwheel Café, Laurel Villa Inn, Milford Diner, John’s of Arthur Avenue, Apple Valley Restaurant, Jorgenson’s at the Dimmick, Irene’s Candy, Walmart, Key Foods, Spoonful Soup and Eats, The Dairy Bar, Breathless Beauty, The Naked Bagel, Frisky Goat Coffee House, and the Ecumenical Food Pantry.

The many prizes were donated by Log Tavern Brewery, Hair Ways, Balch’s, Milford Barbershop, Wise Guys, The Artisan Exchange, Ray’s Auto Repair, The Print Shop/Sidle’s Apiary, Enchanted Books and Gifts, Ghiggeri’s, Milford Underground, The Artery, Earthly Treasures, JEM Screen Printing and Embroidery, Mountain House, Joey’s Pizza, Milford Pet Foods and Supply, Holy Crepes, Dona Helene, Luhrs True Value Hardware, The Craft Show, Pike County Outfitters, Worker Bee Acupuncture, Milford Style Beauty, Golden Fish Gallery, Renegade Winery, Accurate Auto, The Columns Museum, Stone Bear Tattoo, Audrey Lanham, Harrington House, Golden Hammer Tattoo, Waterwheel Guitars, Safe Haven, Jen Murphy Fitness, Zaleski Optical, Jacqueline Damian, TLS Salon, Golden Gifts Jewelry, Hotel Fauchere Group, Pike County Dispatch, Creative Laser, Arlene Quirk, Candy and Gift Cottage, Frisky Goat Coffee House, Ambience Fine Furniture and Gifts, Karenina’s, Willow, Jerry Weinstock, Bruce Baker, Old Lumberyard Antiques, Forkin’ Good Nuts, Forest Hall Antiques, Key Food, and The Phoenix.

On behalf of the 50-plus member businesses of Milford Presents, it was an honor for our organization to serve the less fortunate in our community. As great as we are at hosting our music festivals and cultural events, we are a business community that cares and this wonderful benefit party was a testament to that kindness and compassion.
