Thanks to the community for helping our family

To the Editor:
We would like to thank the many people in the community that have helped our family. There are so many family, friends and neighbors that so generously gave to the various fundraisers hosted in Lonnie’s honor.
The generous donations have helped keep Lonnie Hawke at home with his family. We are so truly gratefully to the community. But there are several that went above and beyond and we must thank them. Sharon Dolittle, for creating the YouCaring page. Milford Garden Club members, Grey Towers Horticulture Team ( meals) and Shohola Lions Club for their generous donations as well. Also, Pike Physical Therapy and their employees, Karen Chabak and Rachael Bell, for the wonderful tricky tray they hosted. Last, but not least, are our sons’ baseball teams and their coaches. They have generously kept them on the field, by covering the fees, DVYSL 10 U All-Stars, DDLL All Stars, PJ Red Hawks & Downtown Baseball.
Lonnie’s ALS diagnosis has been so devastating, but the love of the community has helped lift us up.
