There's a reason why the state police trust Gaughan
To the Editor:
A response to Keith Raser, Keith you boast Tonkin's record as District Attorney.
What you fail to mention is that Tonkin has a 100 percent LOSE record in each and every death penalty case he has ever tried. He has LOST every single death penalty verdict!! This is the experience he brags about? The last time Tonkin personally tried a criminal jury trial was in Nov. 2013 (yes folks, 22 months Tonkin has NOT tried a case, that's what we get for our tax dollars) and he failed to get a conviction in that case, despite the fact that the crime had been caught on videotape.
No wonder the state police have endorsed Kelly Gaughan as our next District Attorney.
With the serious cases pending, the state police have entrusted Kelly Gaughan to prosecute those cases. She has more court room experience than Tonkin and for anyone who watched the debate, it is obvious that Kelly Gaughan is a better speaker. Kelly is intelligent, better prepared, well versed and more passionate about protecting the citizens of Pike County.
Please support the Pennsylvania State Police and local police by casting your vote for trial attorney Kelly Gaughan.
I wholeheartedly support Kelly Gaughan, a positive change for Pike County.
