    To the editor,

Pike and Wayne County Democrats have an opportunity to nominate Meg Rosenfeld, an exceptional candidate running for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives 139th District. I’ve known Meg and her husband, Jason, and their family for nearly a decade. I was especially impressed a few years ago, when they co-chaired the Milford Enhancement Committee’s annual Welcome Party and helped engage many new people in our community in volunteerism.

Meg has served in managerial and leadership roles for 20 years, including as a Montessori teacher, paralegal, certified victims’ advocate and last fall, as a candidate for the Delaware Valley School Board. She has attracted a large number of volunteers--including a lot of parents who are more interested in results than in party politics--and is running a vigorous campaign.

If elected to the legislature, her priorities will be on the local issues that require effective advocacy in Harrisburg, especially those affecting rural areas. She’s particularly focused on improving healthcare access, securing needed infrastructure investments and protecting our environment. Meg is well-informed, passionate about our community and knows how to bring people together to accomplish important goals. She’s received a number of important endorsements, including from Delaware Valley Action, PA Working Families Party, Run for Something and the Center for Freethought Equality.
