New addition to abortion debate
Ms. DiVito (Jan. 16 issue) is absolutely right: the constitution gives us the right to privacy. As the kids say ”my bad,” I made a boo-boo. I should have said the U.S. Supreme Court declared women competent enough to determine their own fate. However, I do not consider an unborn fetus, by any consideration, an American citizen. Anymore than I consider illegal aliens American citizens. Until the fetus is a viable, breathing human and able to live outside the womb (and God knows, I hope they all do) it is still a fetus. And an illegal alien, until he/she gets citizenship papers is not a citizen. As far as I am concerned, women have evry right to determine their own positions. No one should take her by the hand and lead her to a physician and no one should stop her from making her own choice. Therefore, I leave all citizens to make her own choices. Janeth De Graw Milford
