Thanks to the community
On behalf of my grandmother and the entire Pearce family, I wish to extend our sincerest appreciation for the outpouring of love and support which took place by the community on Wednesday May 20, 2009. My uncle, C/M Sgt. Edwin “Jack” Pearce’s service will forever live in our hearts and the hearts of all the students and staff who have walked the halls of Delaware Valley Elementary School. It is nearly impossible to thank, individually, the people who made that truly moving day possible. However, my family wishes to thank Stan and Sharon Siegel for their tireless dedication to our family’s cause all these years and for acting as the catalysts in planning this memorial service beginning so many months ago. To all those who helped in further planning, writing poems as well as letters of condolences, and aiding in making that day possible, my family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. I, along with my family, believe deeply that we are so blessed to live in the greatest nation on earth. Our veterans are the people who selflessly make this possible, who lay down their lives so others may have theirs. May God bless our veterans, and may God Bless America. On behalf of the Pearce Family, Zachary K. Pearce Westfall
