George E. Constable, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. Born in Saddle River, New Jersey to the late George B. and Ethel (Hill) Constable, George had lived in Minisink for the past 72 years. Along with his family, he owned and operated the family dairy farm in Minisink. Mr. Constable was a member of the Dairymen’s League, Milk Producers, Orange County Cooperative Extension, New York State Farm Bureau, and the Farmland Preservation in Warwick, New York. He was also a former member of the Unionville Fire Department. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Emma E. Constable on May 20, 2016 and his brothers, Gordon R. Constable on January 28, 2006 and James E. Constable, Sr. on April 30, 1998. Mr. Constable is survived by his three sons, Stephen J. and his wife Frances, George G., and Brian H. and his wife Brenda all of Westtown; his daughter, Beth Derkacz and her husband Gary of Huguenot; his grandchildren, Breanne Erickson and her husband Chris, Kayna Constable, Kalyssa Constable and her husband Eric, Todd Derkacz and his wife Marisa, Kyle Derkacz and his wife Kristen, Scott Derkacz and his wife Chelsea, Adam Derkacz, Julie Axtell and her husband Jake, Katie Constable and her husband Ivan Svedlov, and William Cluney and his wife Danielle; and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
