Valmon L. Cyr

Valmon L. Cyr, age 84, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York. Born in Waterville, Maine to the late Solomon and Marie (Rossignol) Cyr, Valmon lived in Hartford, Connecticut before moving to New Jersey in 1978 and recently to Milford, Pennsylvania. He had served in the United States Army. Mr. Cyr had been employed as Vice-President of Operations of Metal Improvement Company, a subsidiary of Curtis-Wright Corporation in Paramus and after his retirement sat on the Board of Directors for Curtis-Wright. He loved to spend time outdoors and enjoyed hunting, skiing and golfing. He was so fond of playing golf that he became a starter at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hamburg. Besides his parents, Mr. Cyr was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa A. Cyr ; his granddaughter, Katy Whitehead; and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Connie; his son, Jeff Cyr and his wife Kim of Hamburg; his two daughters, Brenda Wolfanger and her husband Michael of Milford, PA and Linda Cosgrove and her husband Ted of Sussex; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery.
