George H. Bird formerly of Somerset, N.J., and Lords Valley, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa. He was 91.
Son of the late Kenneth Edward and Alice Bird, he was born July 21, 1929, in New Brunswick, N.J.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a truck driver for Billings Transfer.
George loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Korean War Veterans and NRA.
He is survived by a daughter, Susan Bird of Hamlin, Pa.; son, Ken Bird of Bangor, Pa.; grandson, Brian and his wife, Dawn Bird of Easton, Pa.; granddaughter, Danielle and her husband, Chris Spino, of Milford, N.J.; great-grandson, Theodore Bird; and great-granddaughter, Stacy Spino.
Cremation was at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
