Are prices really increasing?

Since we started tracking the prices of essential goods and groceries in March 2025, some prices have dropped or remained steady, while others saw a jump. Since December, the cost of aluminum foil rose by $2 – a 40% increase. The price of eggs, meanwhile, is down significantly since the March 2025 shortage drove prices up to nearly $8 per dozen.
