Every year, the Milford-Matamoras Rotary Club sponsors a Delaware Valley sophomore to attend Rotary’s Youth Leadership Award Program held in Keystone College in LaPlume, Pa.

This conference is a weeklong summer program for students that exhibit leadership potential in their school and provides intensive leadership training for young people.

This year, the Milford-Matamoras Rotary Club selected Beau Tannenbaum. On Aug. 5, Beau attended the club’s meeting and gave a presentation on his experience at the conference.

The young man said he had an amazing time, learned new skills, made new friends and most of all had fun. He thanked the club for the opportunity.

In 2027, the club plans to sponsor up to two students to attend the RYLA program. This is a great opportunity to learn new leadership skills and have fun. If you or your student is interested in attending, please reach out.

The Milford-Matamoras Rotary Club meets every first and third Wednesday’s at 12:15 p.m. at the Dimmick Inn in Milford. Community members interested in learning more about Rotary or becoming a member are encouraged to attend a meeting or contact Club President Candace at 917-687-2025.
