Delaware Valley High School to induct new Hall of Fame class

Dingman’s Ferry. Delaware Valley has announced its induction class for 2020-21 and the new members will be introduced at the start of Delaware Valley’s Homecoming football game on Sept. 18. There will be a banquet at 5 p.m. on Sept. 19.

The Delaware Valley High School Hall of Fame Committee announced its induction class for 2020-21.

Last year’s ceremony was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new members are Paul V. Cavallaro, Christopher Finan, Dr. Julie Jones, and the 1978 Women’s Field Hockey Team. The new members will be introduced before the start of Delaware Valley’s Homecoming football game on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021. The following day, Sept. 19, they will be formally inducted at a banquet held at 5 p.m. at the Riverview Inn in Matamoras.

Paul V. Cavallaro graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in 1992 and enjoyed a long and successful law enforcement career until 2016. He is currently a School Police Officer for the Delaware Valley School District.

Christopher Finan graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2000. He served in Iraq, worked for the Defense Department, and the White House before leaving public service to start a cyber security company.

Doctor Julie L. Jones graduated from Cornell University in 1979 and the Pennsylvania State Medical College in 1983. She spent thirty-two years with Manor Family Health in Millersville, PA.

The 1978 Women’s Field Hockey Team was the first Delaware Valley sport’s team to win a state championship. They were coached by Jan Lees and Sue Robacher.
