Olivia O’Grady, of Milford, was one of 22 Shenandoah University field hockey student-athletes recognized for academic excellence by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association by earning a spot on the association’s 2023 Division III National Academic Squad.
The Hornets tied for the third-most NFHCA Academic Squad honorees in the country, and only four other schools had at least 22 athletes appear on the list.
Shenandoah increased its representation by six student-athletes this year compared to last season.
NFHCA Academic Squad recognition is given to individuals who have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year, and who have been nominated by their dedicated NFHCA member coaches.
