Fifth graders at Delaware Valley Elementary School, after learning about the history and culture of Native American peoples, were challenged create their own custom totem poles inspired by their families, interests and what makes them unique.

“They put a lot of thought and creativity into choosing symbols that represent who they are and the people who are important to them. It was so much fun seeing their personalities and creativity come through in each project,” the school shared.
