Improvement projects in Pike awarded $1 million-plus

Milford. More than $1 million in state funding has been awarded for improvement projects in Pike County. The grants were made available through the Local Share Account (LSA), which is supported by gaming revenues.

The announcement was made by PA Sen. Lisa Baker, PA Rep. Mike Peifer, and PA Rep. Rosemary Brown. The allotments are as follows:

Bushkill Outreach – $225,000 for construction of a new senior center at Lehman Township Park and purchase of equipment.

Pike County – $22,656 for improvements to the emergency training facility in Blooming Grove Township.

● Pike County Commissioners – $175,000 for renovations to the Bennett Avenue Complex in Milford.

Westfall Township Volunteer Fire Company – $100,000 for a new sign and backup generator.
