Pike County has scheduled two more clinics as it accelerates its timetable to administer Covid-19 vaccinations to county residents.

The Pike County Commissioners will continue to partner with Wayne Community Health Center in offering clinics for first-dose shots of the Moderna vaccine on Wednesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 28, at the Pike County Training Center in Lords Valley.

There was a previous clinic on Tuesday.

According to the commissioners, more than 4,000 doses will be provided at these clinics.

The dates for second doses will be provided by Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers.

Pennsylvania on Tuesday entered Phase 1C, which opens the vaccine to essential workers in transportation and logistics, water and wastewater, food service, housing construction, finance, information technology, communications, energy, legal services, government, media, public safety, and public health.

The state is expected to open vaccine eligibility to all residents 16 and older on Monday.
